THE STORY: Three years ago, Jenn put together a holiday gift for Drew to celebrate beating cancer. It was on this day he asked her when she was going to pursue her dream and open a distillery. He told her she had put so much on hold to help him fight. It was now his turn to support her. That was the genesis of Covalent Spirits. Little did they know that in 2021, Drew would be diagnosed with cancer again. One of the reasons for the delayed opening was because they spent 6 months fighting for his life. Inspired by Drew's journey and those similar to our friends and family, we created Battle Bourbon to celebrate the inner-warrior and the community that supports us.

THE BOURBON: This bourbon symbolizes the warrior spirit. The barrel wasn't pretty, and a lot was lost during aging, which is why we only have 129 bottles. But the end product came out stronger than when it started and so beautiful and bold (entry proof was 120, exit was 124). This is a delicious bourbon with notes of maple/ syrup, spices, and dried dark fruit. It is bottled at "full strength" and adorned with a colored ribbon of your choice. 

The price is $200/bottle. 10% of proceeds go to charity. We are trying to align the charities with the distribution of ribbon color. There is limited inventory. Bottle release and pick-up begins at 1PM on 1/7/2023 at our tasting room.
